Loose 10 lbs in 14 days!.
At this time of year the national press to corner advertisements are alive with very bold claims of fantastic weight loss in a very short time. Are these miracle pills, potions and celebrity circuits really that good. Again, in short -
To achieve one (1) pound of weight loss you have to have a deficit of 3500 cals, over a typical week thats 500 per day. 10 lbs = 35000 cals, the average person starting a gym workout will burn between 100 - 200 cals per hour. So the question is - what is the true composition of the weight lost, muscle mass?, water?,  normally a mixture of both. Where's all the machines?, this is a question that often gets asked. In short -
Here at f2k we believe that the use of isolating machines and body building programs do not help the normal gym member to achieve maximum results in their limited exercise opportunity. If you would like to find out how you can maximise your results in your invested time please give f2k a call.

f2k gym membership.
Since braving the snow and starting back in the new year over 80% of the membership has been screened and tested. The results have been very promising. Only a very small percentage has either put on a few winter warming pounds or managed to stay at the same level. The majority have improved their fitness levels while enjoying themselves over the festive period - fantastic, keep it up!. As for the remaining members, the future is looking good, painful at times but looking good.

Saturday                    0900 - 1700.
Sunday                      1000 - 1400.

Last in policy : One hour before closing time.
If nobody is using the facility after this time, the gym will close early.

Thursday Night is Spinning night!.
Morning, I hope you are all recovering from last nights spin class. As you found out there is more to spinning than just moving your legs to music. Last nights session focused on technique and strength endurance.

Wednesday 20th January - Evening Session 630-730

Well done for last nights session. A big improvement since last week.
Remember the group aim for the next session - what, where, and with who!.

Stay on track with the healthy eating - its showing results, even over Christmas, well done.
You need to start implementing more exercise sessions into your weekly timetable to increase your calorie output. If you need the session content form last night just drop me a text or email.

Craig Wheeler
f2k run specialist will be putting you through your paces. He’s a highly committed endurance athlete, with over 20 years experience of competitive running in which his greatest achievement was competing at the 1998 Commonwealth games in Kuala Lumpur. He has represented Great Britain and England on two surfaces, Track and Cross Country. He also holds the record for running the fastest recorded mile on the road in 3.24mins.

Didsbury Running Club at f2k

f2k Health and Fitness will be starting their version of a running club on Tuesday 19th January. If you want to learn how to run properly and get the most out of your available training why not come down and try the session. The session will commence from the f2kgym on school lane at 1900 hrs (7pm) snow permitting.
